As a child, Aria was considered gifted. She was bright and talented, and her parents did everything they could to foster her gifts. The best schools, private tutors, lessons in whatever interested her. Through yer school years her interests were always encouraged, always supported, and she grew into a bright and healthy student, destined for a prestigious university or a military career like her father.

The senior Daylewis was en route to a training drill over the desert of southern California when the Event happened. His plane went down over Kern County. The family hoped he was simply missing, but his body was recovered from the wreckage on December 23rd, two days after the Event. Aria's mother, fragile and nervous by nature, snapped under the combined weight of losing her husband, and the sudden turmoil the world had been thrown into. After twice attempting arson to 'cleanse' her home, Ann Daylewis was committed to a mental health facility. Aria, seventeen at the time, moved to live with her older brother in Orange County. Michael Jr. helped her cope with her Sigil, newfound abilities, and the sudden jumble her mind had become. Unfortunately the once-pleasant neighborhood they inhabited was slowly overtaken by violence. Traditional gangs were forced from their territories by newly formed groups of Sigil-bearers. In March of 2013 Michael Jr. was killed during a robbery.

Devastated by this loss, Aria spent several months in a deep depression. Untreated, this eventually resulted in psychogenic amnesia. Most of her memories prior to her brother's loss vanished, and with those memories gone, the depression resolved itself. However, Aria continued to struggle living on her own. Her restless mind made typical tasks such as paying bills on time difficult. In August of 2013, a solution appeared. She was offered a position with Shockfront's Alpha team. She would get to be a hero, be well compensated, and they wouldn't bill her for a thing. Within the week, Aria was set up with a private apartment on Governor's Island.

Aria is generally bubbly, positive, and just ever so slightly hyperactive. Because of a combination of her own wandering mind and her Sigil, she finds it hard to focus on tasks for long periods of time. Occasionally, an old memory will break the surface or Aria will become more aware of her current personality versus the person she used to be, leading to a short period of depression or self consciousness.

Aria's Sigil gives her the ability to move at extreme speeds, approaching 500 MPH (around 804 KPH) in ideal conditions. Her body has the ability to withstand the forces of this speed, as well as the ability to decelerate quickly if needed. However, an impact at speed would be fatal. Aria can be slowed and fatigued by uneven terrain, bad weather, or by carrying extra weight.
